  • Decide which tense you’d use.
    • Present tense
    • Past tense
    • Future tense
  • Make sure the subject of the sentence.
    • Every sentence needs a clear subject.
    • Subject and verb agreement.
    • If there’s no direct subject, “you” would be a better choice.
  • Determine when you’d use “perfect tense”
    • Perfect tense shows the continuous situation or status from past until now.
    • Present perfect tense: S + have/has + past participle(V.p.p.)
