Dear class,

You are going to become a sophomore after three weeks, this is, the last freshman final exam is coming soon. As usual, this week we did many activities to improve your reading ability in class. In the very beginning, we learnt seven wonders of the world, and each of you picked one you like to gather some information. After drawing the picture, you are the guide of each tourist attractions, and then you introduced for your classmates. While your explaining, others were taking notes/comments or writing down the questions on the memo as your individual assignment so that you are able to learn from peers. Besides, I shared parts of the book called “plainness reading“, which is for those who desire to become successful reader. You can clearly know the strategies used by good readers. What’s more, the KWL chart is included in class to impress you with the questions you jotted down, and your previous experience. This is really helpful for your reading.

In the reading selection, we learn the story of Taj Mahal. It’s such a bitter-sweet story. At last, we reviewed some adjectives in your grammar book. We distinguished “used to “, “be used to" and “would" so that you won’t feel confused when writing such words. I still remembered Kent would like to take off his underwear before he goes to bed. So surprised!

Today we’ve started lesson 10, a story about Bob and Jimmy. This story talks about the appointment made 20 years ago and the changed relationship and attitude.
